Avatar Personality File

The race of avatars I will be creating are named the "Suntrek Race" which live on the planet of "Umsenia". Their race is named after the sun, as these avatars live in middle of the dessert. This dessert is located in the middle on the sea, this is an area with a force field around the beaches, leaving the Suntrek Race stranded. They created a base centering a mirage. Until their shaded area was build, they were forced to live under the sun. Leaving the sun to damage them and create dessert-like cracks pressed in their skin. They have aggressive and defensive personalities, due to their hard life and land being taken by the "Umsun" race. The Suntreks also created an underground world, for the daytime as the sun becomes too hot. At night, the Suntreks come out to hunt for the scarce repatiles living in the desert. Due to this lifestyle, The Suntrek race has brown hair, as they only hunt at night, which means their hair does not receive much sunlight, creating a brown colour. Their eyes also turn red, as they are hunting, and become blood-thirsty. The colour also represents anger.

The lack of food, forced the Suntrek race to eat the limited vegetation, which also made them grow their own plants in the underground world. They have green eyes, and finger nails due to this. The Suntrek race are vicious to anyone outside from their community, and are slightly feisty to those even from their own race. They have a very tanned skin colour due to living in the desert, and have large, cat eyes at night for hunting. The only time that the Suntrek race a truelly happy is when they have won a battle, and have gained land. The Suntrek community is a war-based country which is focused on its battles and military skills. Also, their eyes change colour on the mood they are in.

The Suntrek I will be making is a girl named, "Abaddourtney", who is is very defensive and protective of her property. She is a fierce and independant women, who will do anything for her country. She is not as nasty as the other Suntrek members, and is nice to everyone in her community, not to those who arn't. Abaddourtney has long, wavy brown hair and has light green eyes, due to eating vegetation and also to help her eyesight at night. This girl has a strong warrior inside her and is nice to the other peers in the community.

The second Avatar is a modified version of the first avatar. She has short hair, and she is set in the night time, and has dark red eyes, with a cracked face like Avatar One.

Photoshop Experiment

I started with a picture of Cameron Diaz, and then morphed leopard skin onto her.

I changed the colour of the leopard skin by using hue and saturation, to make it look like she has many "birthmarks", Or leopard skin.

I then duplicated the layer, and masked out everything than the hair.

I changed the colour of the hair and then added it!

The Apple with a Mouth

The Apple with a mouth

http://www.rockingfacts.com/images/funny-pictures/funny-photoshop-images-01.jpg

I found this picture to be funny, and creative. I found this picture on the internet, and I would love to try this out on a food, myself. It has been well made, as the two images blend in, and it actually looks like this certain apple has a mouth.

The Man with No Legs

The Man with No legs.

I found this picture on the internet, and found it to be inspiring and a great idea. I like the idea of him being flat, and he ironing himself. I would be interested to experiment this out one time.

Photoshop can be dangerous

Photoshop can be fun and creative, but photoshop can also be used for the wrong reasons and be dangerous.

Bullying
Photoshop can be used to bully other students or just regular people. This may be by putting the face of the victim into another selected picture to make the victim feel bad for themselves. There could be many possibilities with photoshop. Bullying with photo shop can cause depression to the victim and may even lead to suicide in certain cases. Bullyingwith photshop may be liquifying someones face or even changing the colour of there teeth. These pictures can be sent publicly or seen by many people.

Lying
Photoshop may even be used for lying. People could say that they are friends with a certain person, or say that they worked at a certain job for a job interview. This may be by merging someones or their own face into a certain picture. This could get people a job they do not qualify for, or could make people believe they are friends with a certain person.

Liquefying Experiment

I have decided to test Liquefying in photo shop with a kitten, to make it look happy and sad.

I chose this picture to liquify

I decided to liquefy the kittens mouth, eyes and cheeks to make it look happy.

Then I liquefied the eyes, cheeks and mouth to make the kitten look sad.

My Emu - Frog Creation

I started off with the Emu...

Then I added the Tree frog...

Now I put them together and added the colour, which consisted of duplicating the layer and changing the hue and saturation.

Our first creation in creative media was to create this, An emu - frog. I found this challenging at first, as there was many steps to the final picture. Soon, As I kept on repeating the process, I found it easier to complete and now I have it basically memorized. I can now change the colour of the hair and beak which is fun as you can create a whole new species. Now that I know how to morph two animals together, I will continue to do experiments.

Surprise!

Surprise
Image 1

This is a picture of a surprised little baby. You can tell this baby is surprised by her mouth and eyes. His/her mouth is open to tell he/she recieved a little shock or surprise to make the baby gasp. The babies eyes are wide open, maybeto increase the visual information.

Image 2

Here is another picture of a surprised man. His eyebrows have been pulled up, and therefore causing wrinkles on the forehead. His eyes are again wide open as maybe he cant believe what he is seeing. His mouth is open, but not completely open. As maybe he needs more oxygen and is gasping at what he is seeing.

Image 3

This is another type of surprised, as she is happy and surprised at the same time. Her eye brows are pulled up maybe due to her eyes being so wide. The girl may be trying to receive more visual informative. Her mouth is wide open and the edges of her lips are curved to show se his happy and gasping due to the surprise. Her hands are on her cheeks to show how she is surprised.

Sadness!

Sadness

Image 1

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2067/1525590504_b372ad2b72.jpg

This is a picture of a girl who looks unhappy and sad. This may be due to her arms being crossed, which could mean she doesnt want to expose her self, or she is cross and upset. The girl is look down, this usually occurs when thinking about something and being upset. Her mouth is straight, not curved which would be mean she is not happy. She overall looks sad.

don__t_cry_by_photoImpact.jpg

This second image is of a young girl, who looks sad as she is crying. The first thing I notice is her eyes. They are very watery and looks like she is about to burst up into tears. There is one tear drop from her right eye, but it has not travelled far. The tears are the main give away of her being sad. Another reason for her looking said is her lips, as they are closed and curved down. Also, her eyebrows are curved down.

Here is the last and final example of a sad person. You can tell she is sad by many things. especially her eyes, eyebrows and mouth. Her eyes are water and some tears have come, as you can see a few tear drops flowing down this young girls cheeks. Her eyebrows are pressed down, and look as though she is frustrated and upset. There are a few crinkles above her eyebrows to show this as well. Her lips are straight, and it looks almost like this girl is going to bite her lip. Bitting lips usually means that they are trying to choke back the tears.

Happiness, Sadness and Surprise!

To start our assignment, we were asked to choose 3 emotions. I chose happiness, sadness and surprise. I chose these as happiness and sadness are key emotions, which I would like to portray with my avatars. I chose surprise as I thought this was a nice emotion to go with happiness and sadness. I now have to choose 3 images of each emotion, and briefly describe them.

Happiness!

Happiness

Image 1
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2319/2325957117_31b060f4e8.jpg

Here is an image of a smiling and joyful looking baby. This baby looks very happy due to many things happening with his/her face. The first thing I notice is how the babies mouth is open and smiling, he/she has creases on the edges of his/her mouth, making the emotion look happy. The babies eyes are lightly squinted, maybe due to his/her smiling, making his cheeks press against his eyes, this makes him/her looking very joyful and happy.

Image 2

http://healthmad.com/mental-health/a-dozen-reasons-you-are-a-happy-person/

This is another image of a happy child. You can tell she is happy for many reasons. Her eyebrows are crinkled, not frown-like crinkle, more of a laughing crinkle. Her mouth is wide open, flashing her teeth and her lips are curved on the edges, revealing crinkles up to her nose. And again, her eyes are squinted. Also, her cheeks are pushed up as she is smiling, showing she is happy.

Image 3

happy-person.jpg

Here is the final example of a happy person. This man looks very happy as he is smiling. First, his eyes are squinted, you can tell this by how next to his eyes there are crinkles. His cheeks are pushed up against his eyes as he's smiling widely. His mouth is widely open and you can see his teeth, this is a sign of happiness as his curves of his mouth are pointing upwards.

Starting Photoshop

This term we will be working on our abilities to create an avatar using photoshop. I have never used photoshop productively, I have only tried photoshop a couple of times without knowing what to do. When I went into photoshop, I took a look at all the tools, options and buttons and I was worried that I would become confused. We have been practising the emu and frog morphed into one, and know I am capable of morphing two animals together. I'm learning! :)
I am looking forward to creating an avatar and learning much more photoshop skills!
